Does the law of attraction work in this way? I don't think so: whatever is in the envelope is in the envelope. It's your attitude to what the envelope contains that makes the difference. A negative person will focus on the fact they cannot afford to pay the bill; a positive person will focus on ways to pay the bill. They will decide what action they can take to get the money to pay the bill. This will attract positive, constructive thoughts that will eventually lead to a solution. That is the way law of attraction works.

Does the law of attraction mean the Universe will shower us with any amount of good things if we expect it to? It was time to go for my lectures. I was in my third year at university. I often sat with a few of my good friends in the lecture theatre. My friends were chatting excitedly when I got there. We sat down on the couch and had our tea with the banana and walnut muffin. "You know, Jason, I can't believe we are doing this", I said. "Doing what?" he asked. "We having muffin and tea together. This is something I had seen in my daydreams for almost 21 years. It has really come true now." When we hear the term "mind" we often think of the brain, but the mind is much more than the brain. The brain is the hardware while the mind is the software it runs. When you are dead, your brain will still be there (for a while), but your mind will not.So just what is the mind? If we are going to get any use out of the mind, we need a definition that is useful. Although the word "mind" leads us to believe the mind is a thing, it is not. The mind is label we have given to an active and dynamic process of thinking, perceiving and experiencing. The term "mind" refers to a never-ending flow of information processing. The mind is never static. It is a constant stream of sensory input, thoughts, ideas and perceptions. It's a continuous dance of information, a ceaseless stream of awareness in which almost anything can be swept up.

Those words can still apply today. It depends on the internal representation that we have of the world in which we live. There is an objective reality but we cannot see it. All that we can grasp is our own perception of that reality and that perception differs with each individual.

It is a well-known fact that if we ask twenty persons to describe an incident that just happened, we'll get twenty different versions of the same incidence. The reason for that is that our reality is highly skewed by our internal bank of references.

That personal bank of references is composed of an amalgamate of all the experiences that we've had in the past. It's a composite of the deductions that we unconsciously reached following every new experience that we've had.Some of these deductions may be quite accurate while others might be so fanciful as to make the angels cry. Yet, it is from that bank of reference and all those past conclusions that we view our world and everything in it.

We've all heard about limited attention span, and in marketing that sometimes seems to be the norm for customers. What this means is that only part of your memory can be activated at any one time and it will be a single area located in the most easily activated part of the memory. This will also be the most familiar one, the one used most often. The more often it is used it becomes even more familiar. Think repetitive marketing campaign, top of the mind awareness, copy crafted to appeal to certain senses that becomes familiar to your customer over time. People need to be told about a product or service at least SEVEN times before they buy it/try it. Think repeat customers here.

Those beliefs can be accurate, irrelevant or simply false but they have an almost total hold on the way that we comprehend our reality. It's as if we had been hypnotized to accept those beliefs and forced to see a reality that is in complete concordance with those beliefs.

If there is any doubt about the veracity of that theory, we only have to look at the way that most extremists of the Christian and Muslim worlds see each others to understand that it is sadly so. Fundamental beliefs have the power to so hopelessly distort reality that it becomes unrecognizable.

You now know the brain is divided into two hemispheres and that each specializes in different functions, processes different kinds of information and deals with different problems. Left works with logic and analysis, the right with emotions and imagination.Let's put that into perspective when thinking about customers.

And here is why you want to know what they do for a living. A manager would be a left brain person (appeal to his/her logic and love of analysis). A leader would be right brain (appeal to his/her emotions and imagination). A producer - that would depend on the kind of work done. If the work done is verbal, logical, and analytical - that is left brain. If the work is intuitive, emotional, and creative - that is right brain. Can you be a combination? Yes, but usually one is more predominant that the other.

The 21st century has brought on a whole new set of challenges for many of us, bringing the infamous how to change your life topic to new and unexpected heights. To steal a line from one of my faves, Lewis Black; "Even a good fiction writer couldn't have come up with this."

The question is now: So, do I have to reinvent myself after all this time? The answer, yes...and no. With the job market bordering on chaos, and the collapse of both the industrial age as well as a good part of the information age, the reinvention of potentially our entire persona does become a consideration for some. At first glance, that statement can look completely overwhelming. But here's the trick.

Change won't happen overnight, but it will happen for you if you are willing to take three simple steps. Regardless of your faith, or what you believe, this plan will work for you. You only need to commit to 30 minutes each day to see lasting success. Try this plan every day for 21 days. Almost any habit can be developed, or broken, in only 21 days. If you really want to get the most from it, then commit to an hour a day. Although this may seem hard at first, once you start to reap the results, you won't want to do anything else. It will become a part of your daily routine.

So what's happening here? We're reinventing or reshaping who we are through this process, but actually, we're not. This potential reshape consists of reconfiguring elements of who we already are, not some fictitious character we're trying to create that has nothing to do with us. Personal testament becomes a must to clarify this point.

How to change your life can be seen in different light, you just have to put the time in and discover it, and then get CREATIVE with those discoveries. Realize those inherent gifts you already own and make them work for you in alternative life settings... or, a new career. I can't begin to tell you how many of those we've labeled geniuses have used that creative storyboard scenario to accomplish their goals. Reinvent... and not!

it takes real guts to get out there and do something different. But isn't it strange, when you do, do something diverse, the mickey takers only really give it a small space of time with laughter and mocking, then they're onto something or someone else; because they can't really afford the time to stand around pointing the finger and belly laughing someone,when deep down they truly admire them.So what are we worried about. Well we certainly don't want to jeopardize any of our hard earned possessions, and most of us are not seeking that extreme lifestyle change; which makes me think of the man who was looking for something different and swapped his mobile home for a canal boat. That was until just a day on the water when he was looking to exchange his new canal boat for dry land again.

Everyone should strive to be successful. Success is the meaning of life: your struggle, goals, where you are, where you're going, and where you have been. Success is a journey. Your job is to not give up and find a way to reach your destination. Below are 8 ways to find your way to success. You may have heard them before but that is because of how important they are. I will go into great detail with them so you know what is expected of you to be successful.

Personal responsibility and personal accountability is a very frightening concept to many individuals. However, if you want to have a life of greatness (however, you may define that for yourself) you will have to create it through taking personal responsibility and personal accountability for your life. There is no other way.Many individuals go through their entire lives by living only a "half-life." What I am meaning by this is that they are afraid to grow the ideas they have in their heads about who and what they perceive and interpret themselves to be. To be very clear here, growing one's ideas of one's self and the world around them will indeed result in life changes. It is your choice. You can create the changes you then choose to respond to, or you will be forced to deal with the changes life imposes upon you. It all depends upon your "life focus."In a manner of speaking, there are two types of individuals on the planet at this time. There are those who accept average and ordinary lives, and then there are those who create lives of greatness. Each type of individual will be absolutely convinced of the reality of their life's expression. To say it another way, in all areas of their life, they will know that what they have, and what they can have is what they are realistically capable of. Therefore, the real question becomes what does "realistically capable of" mean?

Long term goals when added up, together, get you where you believe is your idea of success. Short term = long term= success. One builds off the other. Your long term goals can be looked at as a gathering or grouping of successful short term goals. For example, if I feel successful by getting married (which I don't), my long term goal would be to meet a woman. How do I do that? Through short term goals. My short term goals would be: work on myself, work on my interactions with women, maybe talk to 5 women a day, go out more often, go on dates, and so on. If I do that time after time, hopefully, I would reach my long term goal and get a girlfriend. Now when that Long term goal is completed, it's time to make another long goal which would be to get past the first year mark. So now you write down small daily goals that get you there. You keep doing this process over and over until you reach what you believe is successful. It's honestly a fail-proof formula if you stick with it.

Now, if you are just starting your way towards success, remember, it is not just about what you have written and it will magically happen, you do need to put in the work and effort to help make your dream a reality. For financial gain, you need to figure out what you intend to give in order to acquire that sum. If you are single, and looking for a relationship, you need to figure out exactly what type of significant other you would like to have. Then go out there and attract that special someone. For health, well, depending on your lifestyle, you adjust your diet accordingly. The diet of a body builder will no doubt be different than the diet of an athlete or a person who's optimizing their 9-5 work.

So, this new lifestyle you dream to have will require a paradigm shift of some sort, and the changes should begin to take place from right now. With a set of goals that you have, and a plan of action of how you are going to get there, then you are bound to get there. Instead of how most people live, aimlessly and purposelessly.

If you are not sure how to get started or continue, I am sure you know how not to get started or continue. Use this if need be as a "tuning fork" as you move forward. No matter who you are, or what you choose to do, if it is from a space within you attempting to create your life of greatness, by way of growing yourself forward in this respect, know there is no greater life work with which to be involved.Trust yourself. Trust your creativity. Trust in your own direction. Trust that all you need will come to you, in one way or another. No one ever said adulthood was supposed to be easy and free of any challenges or difficulties. By the same token, no one ever said once you become an adult that you are finished "growing."If you wish to have a life of greatness, the choice is yours. If you will accept a life that is or will become average and ordinary, the choice is also yours. The world needs the greatness you have within you. En masse the world over, this is how we save the future of our world for our children, grandchildren, and beyond. Ask yourself, if this is too difficult for you to attempt in your life, what are you teaching the loved ones who surround you in your life?Do you teach them by the example of your life, how to create a life of greatness by always growing the best version of yourself possible? Or, on the other hand, do you teach them how to create a life that is average and ordinary because you live your life on "auto-pilot?"

However, after the death of a loved one, thoughts and attitudes often trigger loneliness and resulting depression, which occurs early in grieving. It features confusion, little motivation, altered self-esteem, lack of meaning, reduced functioning in one's social circle, insomnia, and low energy. If you are depressed, acknowledge it. Describe it in detail, where it hurts, and what it feels like. "What is the message or messages this emotion is delivering to me?" is an important question to address. What do I need to accept? To let go of? The refusal to accept the loss is often a root cause of depression. Depending on what you believe about your depression will lead to choices that either help you manage it, or prolong it.

Talk to your best friend. Remember, the more you isolate yourself--and this is what depression tends to do--the more you will increase emotional and physical stress. Saying how you really feel (especially what you fear and how angry you may be) to someone you are confident of being with, is an excellent antidote for your grief and to deal with depression. And, forgiving yourself and others, will also release depressed feelings.Use a universal treatment for depression: exercise. Physical activity will have an affect on brain chemistry and help in the management of depression. Take 10-15 minute walks, preferably with someone. This will activate your endorphins and affect mood.

I have been a clinical hypnotherapist for several years and I have closely witnessed many almost miraculous results with hypnosis.
